San Blas Islands, A flash back in time!

Kuna Yala or San Blas is an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean that holds large areas preserved intact thanks to the Kuna culture, like all other indigenous culture, its ancient life is woven into the biodiversity and the balance of environmental resources.
This is a journey into the past because you will see a community that remains untouched by civilization. Some will think thas is a crazy idea of being so far from being a great city, but for the Kuna people this is their origin, their state of life that for us has been supplied by the great buildings of cities like Panama that holds enormous skyscraper and major civil works.
The archipelago of Kuna Yala teaches us to preserve our roots, although in some cases members of the community have been touched by the habits of the city and have left traces in the area, such as waste management (not organic like: bottles, plastic bags, appliances, etc.) that has been introduced by their necesity to get water, food or some other need.
But thanks to the Kuna people that managed the comarca by the bosses of each island, the area is kept away from the possibility of being invaded by concrete blocks and huge towers.
By visiting this place, both Panamanian and foreign tourists fall in love with the beauty of the islands still untouched and pristine clear waters of the Caribbean Sea that invite to have a delicious and refreshing dip in the water, all invited by an infinity of colorful starsfish that want to be photographed and put their best pose.
People still preserve their language and customs and it is sometimes difficult to achieve communication with them, though many have come to understand the Spanish and serve as translators.
The idiosyncrasy of Kuna is sometimes surprising, they show friendly and very helpful but they do not have sense of responsibility and may have undertaken to do something and just don't care, doesn't mean is bad, but for us the city people are used to fulfill and satisfy other is difficult to understand. The same circumstances in which they live are the reasons why they don't care, so maybe we should all be like them and llower our pressure a bit ..... only few who run businesses in a responsible manner.
So I leave you all with the desire to learn for yourself and discover Panama's hidden gem that remains like a hundred years ago.
