The Cangilones of Gualaca are amazing rock formations on the Estí river, this are natural formations.
These are natural formations that make up a kind of pots that seem man made. Research say that apparently this is due to the eruptions of Volcan Baru, when lava slides into the river.
The mixture makes this landscape a very pleasant visit where we can see clear waters and enjoy a walk accompanied by a dip in the river.
This place is located in the province of Chiriqui, on the way to Bocas del Toro, in the district of Gualaca.
If you want to visit this place we recommend you to bring a change of clothes, enough food for the trip because this place is deserted and please don't leave trash in the area. Also always wear sunscreen and bring your swimsuit, tennis or walking shoes, sandals, sunglasses and a hat.
