John Wayne Island

This great Island once belonged to John Wayne, Taborcillo, is now a small private island off the Pacific coast of Panama!

Now you will feel John Wayne spirit at every turn! When you come to Taborcillo you will be fascinated by the island's virgin nature, its long white beaches and the old mango trees planted by the "Duke" himself!

A highly diverse fauna is waiting for you, too: various exotic bird species have chosen the south of the island as their nesting place, huge iguanas will cross your way and with a little bit of luck, you will even be able to watch one or more big sea turtles as they come ashore to lay their eggs in the sand. There is a special protection programme for these turtles on Taborcillo.
