Description

Wake up with a chorus of tropical Motmot, toucans, and Fruitcrow.

Your room is on the tops of the trees, no more than 40 meters from the bird. In the cold dawn of Panama you can feel great jungle of Panama, awakening around you. Cotingas Blue and Green Shrike-vireos, birds normally glimpsed high in the treetops, perch right outside your Canopy Tower room.

Climbing the stairs in the dining room, a cup of coffee and pastries await you. Moving at a table near the window. Above the endless tropical forest of National Sovereignty Park, a ship glides through the Panama Canal. The hooting of a distant company of monkeys punctuates the cries of birds. To keep your field guide open on the table in front of you beside your rolls and fresh orange juice. In total comfort, you greet the morning sun. Nothing obstructs the view. With the window open, without protection, nature has its morning business.

Do not worry if you are new to birding, this is a perfect place to start. Hundreds of species can be seen from the window, most of them clearly illustrated in the excellent Panama bird guides. The Canopy Tower is also ideal for those who are interested in exploring the jungle. Giant, iridescent Morpho butterflies flash of blue wings for you while you're on the road turning to the Tower. Howler monkeys roar with a sudden surprise. Every bush, tree and flower seems to be different from above, reflecting the extraordinary diversity of Sovereignty.

Come to the Canopy Tour. In the morning, afternoon, or better yet, spend a few nights with us. We are sure you will enjoy your stay.

This eco lodge in the jungle is consider by the National Geografic as the Top Ecolodge of Panama:

"Canopy Tower Ecolodge & Nature Observatory, Panama, Key Features: active adventure, wildlife.

In Panama, where migrating North and South American species collide in a cacophony of avian life, the best way to spot birds is, of course, in the treetops. At least that's what Panamanian banker-cum-conservationist Raul Arias de Para thought when he recycled an old U.S. Air Force radar tower into a five-level ecolodge in 1999. The 12 rooms and observation deck, 45 minutes from Panama City, afford toucan's-eye views of the surrounding Soberania National Park and the Panama Canal" by the National Geogrphic.
